Skin crawling fun arrives on DVD just in time for Hallowe'en with the remake of Willard.
From the 1971 film of the same name (and the novel Ratman's Notebooks) Willard arrives on October
7. Teeny tiny cold rat feet ahoy - and let's not forget Willard himself, possibly the creepiest crawlie in the
whole movie (particularly as portrayed by Crispin Glover). Ben and Socrates may be small killing machines, but
it's Willard who sets them in motion.
The DVD includes two original documentaries, The Year of the Rat, a film student's look at the whole process
from pre-production to the aftermath of the opening, and Rat People: Friends or Foes which looks at rats
and their place in society.
That said, if you'll excuse me, Gertrude and I need to go watch this training film for ratty world domination…heh
